About the Stage 2 Program

Stage 2 is a comprehensive youth theatre program designed to educate, inspire, and empower young performers through hands-on theatrical experience. Our program goes beyond memorizing lines — students learn the full process of creating live theatre, from auditions and rehearsals to final performances. Participants work closely with experienced directors, designers, and mentors who guide them in developing performance skills, confidence, and professionalism.

Stage 2 provides a creative home where students can explore storytelling, build self-expression, and grow both on and off the stage. Whether a participant is new to theatre or has years of experience, our program meets students where they are and helps them grow.

Who Can Join

Stage 2 membership is open to rising 7th graders through 20-year-olds who are interested in theatre and performing arts. We welcome students from all backgrounds and experience levels — no prior theatre training is required. All that’s needed is a willingness to learn, collaborate, and commit to the rehearsal process.

Our age range allows younger students to learn from older peers while giving advanced performers opportunities to lead, mentor, and refine their skills in a real-world theatre environment.

A Community That Feels Like Home

Stage 2 prides itself on being a welcoming, inclusive space where every participant is valued. Our program encourages respect, collaboration, and mutual support, creating an environment where students feel safe to take creative risks and grow as individuals.

Students don’t just join a program, they join a family of artists, mentors, and peers who share a love for theatre.

What Members Experience

Stage 2 members receive immersive, real-world theatre training through structured rehearsals led by experienced theatre professionals. Participants receive acting instruction focused on character development, voice, and movement, while also engaging in ensemble-building exercises that foster teamwork, confidence, and trust. Members gain exposure to stage etiquette, professionalism, and the discipline required to produce live theatre, all while taking part in fully staged productions. Throughout the process, students are supported in a creative environment that encourages self-expression and personal growth. At Stage 2, students don’t just perform — they become part of a collaborative artistic team.

Why Membership Matters

The $200 annual membership fee directly supports the quality and accessibility of the Stage 2 program. Membership helps cover essential program costs such as professional instruction, rehearsal space, production materials, and technical resources, all of which contribute to meaningful, high-quality theatre experiences. This investment ensures professional-level guidance and mentorship, safe and structured rehearsal environments, and well-produced shows with strong technical support. Most importantly, membership allows Stage 2 to continue offering consistent opportunities for students to grow throughout the season while maintaining a high standard of excellence and affordability.

Why Join Stage 2?

Joining Stage 2 is about more than being in a show — it’s about becoming part of a creative community that values growth, discipline, and self-confidence. Through participation, students build confidence in public speaking and self-expression, develop responsibility, time management, and teamwork skills, and form lasting friendships and meaningful connections. Stage 2 provides a supportive space where students can discover their creative voice and gain experience that benefits them in school, college, and future careers. Many participants leave the program with stronger communication skills, greater self-assurance, and a deeper appreciation for the arts.
